Maxed out all Skills to Level-200... Guess how long it took
Would anyone like to guess how many hours it took me to max out all trade skills to level 200?

The following is based on my experience in the El Dorado server. Your experience may vary based on your server and playstyle.

Gathering Skills Level 1-200:
Fastest: Skinning
Slowest: Fishing
Most boring grind: Logging
Most rewarding: Mining
Least rewarding: Logging
Most complex: Harvesting & Fishing

Crafting Skills Level 1-200:
Fastest: Smelting > Leatherworking > Weaving > Woodworking > Cooking
Slowest: Engineering, Furnishing ~ Armoring ~ Weaponsmithing ~ Arcana
Most expensive grind: Jewelcrafting
Most profitable: Gemstone-cutting
Least profitable: Stone-cutting (Voidstone)
Most complex: Arcana & Cooking

What benefits does that give you now? Can you make the best gear? Asking if it's worth it.

"Most complex: Harvesting"

shouldnt that be fishing? Havesting is same as others while fishing has day/night & bait mechanics.

"If you have the proper gear" which is another huge money sink if you plan on trying to craft bis gear

True maxing isnt even about maxing the skillbar but rather to be able to craft legendary gear. For that in most cases you need a lot of gear, 3 houses, expensive trophies etc etc. For now I decided its not worth it

I've had a hard time with cooking. I never have the ingredients and they are being sold in the market by apparent loan sharks who seem to be the only ones in the game with the secret of finding salt.

Hopefully they increase the Level cap of crafting and harvesting to 300. And Gear Score 700 soon.

The grind from 200 to 250 should be the same as going from 0 to 200 . And from 250 to 300 the same as going from 0 to 250.

And expertise will be super duper grindy.

If they do this I might actually have a reason to play again since Im maxed out in almost all crafting skills as well.

Salt is super easy to find.

Too bad there is not some sort of online guide that would tell you exactly where you could find it...

Plenty of content!
I wouldn't say logging is the most boring, fishing seems the most boring to me. Most rewarding I wouldn't say is mining. In fact I think logging is the most rewarding. I've made thousands of gold just selling timber when i started, to lumber later on. Every one wants and needs wood, especially for furniture and such. There are many recipes which require wood. On my server Lumber sells for the same if not more than Starmetal. Lodestone and orichalcum have little to no value. Silver and platinum ingots have decent value. You cant convert iron all the way up to starmetal, you can however convert your wood up into lumber, which is always in demand. I haven't made it to wyrdwood yet, but I am sure those also have good value. Stone-cutting kind of sucks, But I have been able to sell stone blocks pretty easily for decent coin. Harvesting is pretty good too, if you got a good route you can farm 4k motes pretty easy, sell for 1 coin per, and make 4k gold instantly or more.

Skinning was so easy to level that I got it to 200 before I even hit level 45.

Yeah, there sure is and I watched all of them, and there is zero salt in any of those containers.

How did you get your picture to look identical to the one on Icy Veins?

I really hope they don't add more grind for the sake of it. The game has enough grind as it is.
Since the winter update your not technically maxed out with the "prestige" system. It's still quite an accomplishment to be at 200 everything.

But what is your expertise?

Yesterday I reached max expertise on everything. 1100 hours total played. Now I'm working on finishing professions.
