Amazon game studios???

Isn't amazon game studios just a brand name for a couple mobile game devs, former double helix games employees (a company that made mostly trash games), and some unknown south korean studio? Or did they hire a bunch of new people from scratch? Who is actually making their games?

From what I've read they acquired two companies, including Double Helix then hired many experts from a myriad of fields. The article discusses a bit about the challenges of an industry expert on adapting to Amazonian work philosophies.

Amazon pulled line workers from their warehouses and their van drivers and made them devs. It didn't work out too well, they can't code.
