newworldstatus.com updates like hourly or so and breaks it out by region.
There are other mmo's coming out in 2022 however. One of them(Ashes Of Creation) looks pretty good and as rational as I am, its very likely this new mmo is going to crush NW (does not take much to do this). But do your own research on this title interested, don't just take/leave my own opinion on this.
Even Ashes Of Creation is unlikely to be the next big thing. You always set your expectations high for the next big MMO. I've been watching some videos on AOC for the past few days. The graphics are now being praised in the sky via the UE5. It doesn't look much better than New World on 4K. But people now think that AOC has unprecedented beauty just because it's a new hope in sight.
When it comes to gameplay decisions, the developers are also taking paths that some people will not like. Stop hiping MMOs and wait until you can really play. Only then will it be decided whether we will get a really good MMO again someday.
Even at AOC, we will only be able to guess at weeks to months after the release whether the developers' decisions will reach the masses and keep them there.
Funcom said exactly that with Age of Conan back in 2008. They suffered from hubris and the game died with a whimper.
