Restart Steam?
If you really are concerned, check with Steam support as they can help sort what happened. Usually as you know with 1000 games on your account, you have to activate a game key to enable a game into your library unless steam does some sort of auto thing which is very unlikely. Even influencers and New World devs have handed out keys to activate a game instead.
Only other thing too would be if someone in your household who uses your comp got it? Anyway, sort it with Steam.
Rather than checking 'Purchase history, look below that in 'View license and product activations' to see if it lists New World there.
I'm sure you've already checed there but it's the only other thing I can think of.
Again, open a support ticket/chat with steam support to sort it out.
Seriously?
Check your credit card statement, like right now.
