The Lumberyard Engine obviously works, so now they can splinter the dev group into other projects associated with the engine with more confidence.
I love the gathering and crafting. Just not enough for PvE players to do. And too many people exploiting combat bugs to make PvP not any fun. And too much imbalance between weapons.
You lose the perks of fast-traveling to it for free, decorating it (further) and your trophy buffs, that is all. You never lose the house. So if you don't feel like paying the tax then don't, it'll all still be there when you feel like paying it again. And there is no "tax backlog" if you don't pay it for weeks, months etc.
