Hi, I want to create a second character in New World but i want it in the same server so if i ever give up on it at least i can give whichever mats i have to my main making whatever time i invest on said alt less meaningless.
If i buy a second copy of the game in a different steam account is that against AGS rules? It would suck to spend money on a second copy of the game and get banned on both accounts.

Edit: thank you for your replies, after think about it a while longer i'll just create an alt in other server. will save 40$ and the risk of a ban will go from unspecified to zero XD
I know you can do everything in one character but i hate changing specs or anything relatively big at the middle of a game, i like to try stuff from scratch. I'll go from healer to either bow/rapier or bow /spear and i like to experience it from low levels and progress instead o changing at level 60

I already did level to 60 but tbh i'm bored with the endgame (or lack of it) and i enjoyed leveling waaaaay more. Thats the main reason i want a new character but once there actually is an endgame and pvp (opr is not pvp for me with all the pve on it) i probably will come back to my main and if i can send stuff from the alt to him i'll fell all the time invested on it wont be such a waste

Also (again if not against rules) i wouldnt bother with crafting proffessions on the alt other than engineering to craft ammo so if they are on same server i could technicaly send rare mats and cooldowns like asmodeum form the alt to my main

Both characters would be on the same faction since i remember reading that faction spy is the main reason you cant have 2 characters on same server

In theory you can use the AH to trade items, but that'd be both expensive and risky.

Thank you mate. I will still think about it a little more (its 40 bucks after all 😅) but i think i might do it.

To trade the items my idea was to use a rl friend. Trading to him and then he'd trade back to my other account

Not really risky, instead of posting the item for sale you can create a buy order for 0,01, no one will sell whatever it is for that price for sure. Then change to alt account and sell to the other one.

An pretty likely to get flagged when they realize the same 2 accounts are trading back an forth.. even if they mistaken you for a gold seller/farmer.. Kinda waste of 40$.. but dare to dream =) Just dont be suprised if you dont have an account long..

Well yeah, I'm pretty sure having an alt account is bannable by itself.

I just looked it up and read through it again. I don't see anything prohibiting a person from buying two copies of the game on separate Steam accounts. I tried to copy and paste the TOS here but it is to long. It seems that "comments must be less than 18000 characters in length"

The answer is yes.. until its NO.. You can cut/paste any portion of the Tou an it means nothing.. They have left ample wiggle room to do ANYTHING an everything they want. If you have to ask at any time ' can I do this ' .. then the answer is NO.. unless you couldnt care less about losing your account.. or accounts..

It falls under the fair play clause, since having two accounts is a pretty large advantage.

So thats all I could locate on multi-boxing which is pretty much what you would be doing.. or close enough to it.. again.. just because they dont say anything on it.. doesnt mean they cant change ANYTHING on a whim.. (an yes I understand its concurrent)

LoL Seen this in the AH. Good Idea. I have a laptop that can run the game fair so its been no prob.
