Is it worth it to craft repair kits when the repair parts reach 2k?
Is it worth it to craft repair kits when the repair parts reach 2k?
1) I don't even know what they are for, I usually make them and sell them.
2) Is it worth wasting some of my green crafting buffs for them?

If you have the highest repair level yes. If you don't then probably not.

id say only if your crafting junk en masse for levels like say t1 wood bows to level engineering since there will def be a point where youll cap ur repair parts after breaking them down. At that point id make some according to the armor tiers im wearing on my current main set until im down to around 2-300 RPs left

ok but what are really used for and why some people buy them?

they do take some of my materials which it's a bummer, those green buffs are pretty rare, tbh. Hence my question if it's worth it losing those green crafting buffs for a repair kits I dont' even know if they are used by players.

They also weigh a tonne. I think each individual item requires a kit so really that's going to be a lot of kits. A lot.
Stuff in your inventory takes damage when you die too. So that will need repairing constantly as well.

Overall I have given up on the concept of repair kits. The T5 ones would save you some coin if you just used them on your weapon or any other expensive item(s) but if you port around then remember that port costs are based in part on your weight so you are paying to carry those around in loss of bag capacity and in azoth.

The T5 takes what? 150 engineering to craft? (Not positive sorry) and that's going to take a lot of work. You would not spend that much time and money to get 150 eng just to craft kits.
If you get to 150 eng for other reasons then it might be a bit of a win to craft the odd kit now and again. Don't set it as a goal though.

There is just too much repairing to do and it needs to be done far too often. Just use gold and the scrapped bits and forget about it unless it happens naturally.

yeah I had a feeling it wasn't worth making them. I have to say I did sell few in the past but still not for that much, and yes it's stupid they weigh so much

I typically never do it. I pick up so much crap gear from loot drops from mobs, I just salvage almost all of it. Too much of it is bind on pickup anyway and you cannot sell it.

hard to sell gear in populated servers ;( Anybody know a good youtube video that explains few basic principles of what type of gear sells and what doesn't?
