try dynastie without a tank have fun or even harder go garden. and ofc tanks are needed in wars - try to hold a point without a bunch of tanks good luck
My weapon gets broken but I just use 1 repair kit ( you know the ones they fixed )
Well thanks for tanking . For those about to repair I salute you .
80 str
100 focus
250 con
And im doing just fine. Sure i cant take out enemies super fast but my survivability is massive now and that’s essential for soloing in high lvl areas.
Ps, tanking is really useful in team play just like healing. But if you’re looking for a pure solo build then play your own way - not as a tank or healer (these are purely for team play)
Simple fix imo, give me some kind of Grit while blocking atleast... and make it so the hammer AOE slam doesnt stun through me blocking ? what ? and PLZ make SnS stuns not a stupid Sleep... makes it an actual stun... or change it to a knockdown... and if you want to help SnS with some abbility to do dmg ... give SnS a bleed of somekind... either on a skill so you have to sacrifice a skill for it... or on our final basic attack... it still wont hurt much... but atleast in the 1v1, as a tank... if the guy cant outplay you/ you are able to TANK his dmg, you can bleed him out in the long run... anyway hes just gonna run away and you wont be able to catch him... because GA has best CC and best mobility. But ohh no YOU cant run away from a GA... because their basic attack has a 80ft commando lunge.
The truth has been spoken.
2 hits from fire staff and hes probably destroying no one .
Depends on the Enemy. Fire Staff would absolutely destroy him, but a Bow or Musket would get nuked to hell. They rely on single target physical damage. Fire Staff is pure elemental, and can do AOE.
Melee Weapons would be a skill contest. Shield protecting from a lot of damage. While 150 Con ain't nothing to sneeze at.
Wall of text aside, you damage mainly comes from your weapons and making good choices with weapons so that you are optimizing your stats appropriately.
Secondarily it comes from your skill choices so if you chose poorly that can make your damage less.
Thirdly from your armor and other gear's bonuses(minorly though in most cases.
And lastly from potions, trophies and some other bonus benefits that can be earned.
If you're doing dungeons, especially in the higher dungeons, needs to have good gear, buffs, and like any dungeon'd mmo, awareness of the fights and situations and the dynamics of your group.
For pvp in the end game, you can tank some but if half their team is on you, even with healers, it just may not be enough. Its just not part of the typical pvp strategy to stand flat footed in the thick of it and expect you're going to hold everyone back.
Your ranting about players switching weapons is also silly. That is an intentional feature of the game and part of the strategies to employ at some times. It sounds like you are too entrenched in your previous mmo/game play experiences and are unable to adapt to the play here. Perhaps if you can't that indicates that you may need to consider other games to play that better match you.
All in all, most of what you describe is a user end issue centered set of problems. If you want to play pvp more in large groups, consider changing your weapon choices and play style. If you are not surviving well in dungeons or elite farming, first determine if your healer is not subpar, and then next look at your gear and skill choices being subpar and or your tactics in fights especially boss fights(thorpe is a good example of what I mean).
With everything said though, are there bugs, exploits, and other things going on? Yes but again some of what you're writing about is more about your choices and thinking about the game in general.
Good luck.
It's problems for me are threat generation. Aoe threat not single target.
Endgame dungeons? Yes. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ without. Dynasty being about the only one u can do without a tank rather easy. But it's not endgame its a 55 dung.
Elite runs? Yes.
I call them portals,? Yes.
Questing? Unless you use a dps bug you prob got a easyer time soloing endgame as a tank arm. Key point survivability.
Invasions? Well this one is kind of a no atm, if I could effectively threat without them walking by, Then yes.
Pvp? It's not glorious, more of a support. But I hold bases in outpost rush by myself at times.
Or buy time for my team as a distraction. If I can get the enemy to hit me instead of others, that's a win, they wasting time on me, I can take a lot. Meanwhile my guys should be directly hitting them.
I assume as people get better at pvp I will just be ignored, but atm I mostly taunt them on me.
Can win a lot of 1v1s actually vs melee, ranged is the problem for tanks.
You want enough hp to withstand any 1 shot mechanic from bosses. 200 with right gems can allow that, rest in strength for me.
