Where is all the Salt ?

You'd think there would be a bit more salt seeing as we're on an island surrounded by salty ocean water. I mean there should be some on rocks on the beaches...

Salt should be in abundance, Its a tier 1 drop yet you need it for tier 5 recipes. I have storage overflowing with tier 5 mats but as a level 60 I am forced to farm level 10 provisioning chests for a chance to find 6 salt? This should drop randomly everywhere along with Garlic and other tier 1 mats. Up the drop quantities or make it a random loot anywhere. Fricken stupid little things in this game that make me wonder wtf they were thinking.

It's probably to allow the newbies to provide resources to the production effort, i've seen a lot of people questioning the global market thing but personally i think it might be a good thing. Higher tier players can stay up in the north and the nubs can provide the lower tier stuff like rawhide and iron ore via the market without having to travel from Ebonscale to Cutlass or WW.

I saw that it said provision chests, not supply chests, it seems like the number of those has been reduced. Plus it is stupid, salt is only slightly less common than sand, that close to the ocean.

Thats not terrible RNG, terrible RNG is having the only epic items that drop for you being musketeer's pants, coat, gloves or boots. I'm not even joking i should take a screenshot of my storage shed next time i'm on. I got an epic bow once though, but apart from that...........oh wow, musketeers gloves. fun, dozens of musketeers gloves.........

Hey man, i hear you. I had the same problem as you and tried to farm it.

For me personally it only drops in Everfall, more specifically right from Everfall in the Riversworn Grotto. It's maybe 500m? distance from Everfall.

In that Landmark are 4 Provision Crates that can drop Salt. My luck with the drops ranged from 0 to 20 Salt in one "run". They respawn hourly. Good luck man and dont buy that ♥♥♥♥ on the AH. Godspeed!

Garlic, tarragon and salt are commodities I think on most servers.

Garlic can be farmed really good from blue herbs in the Everfall beginner zone on the Everfall Watchtower. There is literally 50 herbs there. One "run" gets you about 10 Garlic if you are lucky and the herbs respawn really fast.

Edit: And don't you guys dare buy paprika from the AH. South of heaven..erhm.. i mean south of Monarchs Bluff also blue herbs where paprika just jumps into your T5 Satchels when you harvest them.

Currently, Salt is one of the most rarest food drops. It's also the most needed.
