Azoth system and Storage is why I stopped playing!

The Azoth system is awful. It simply slows everything down. Massively. The game isn't subscription based so why force us to walk everywhere? To have 3 or 4 towns that we use to store wood / stone / etc. I spent hours just walking... To put some wood in a box. Or I would find I couldn't teleport to my party due to Azoth being low, Or even declining to help friends, Because if you do go to them to help, You might have to grind for 3 hours to earn enough Azoth to come back. Or walk for an hour. With free teleportation and a single bulk storage the game would be a damn sight more fun.

Azoth limit stays same from lvl1 to 60, which is also bad design since you get more azoth later on - and need more due to bigger bags.

This is one of the reasons tactical drowning is a thing, but you cant do it with gear you are planing to keep, as the gold cost are too high.

Why would you be wasting it on throw away gear, throw away gear is a product of crafting for perfect gear, you spend that azoth crafting for perfect gear rolls, if you are just crafting to raise your skill, then yeah you don't use any azoth, maybe this just because you arnt yet crafting for end game gear, so really your opinion on azoth use is pretty much worthless, until you get to crafting endgame gear.

Again, you are doing it wrong. All the blue dots faction quests are all over the place.
Only do the first 3 each 24 hours and in the same zone and ignore the rest.

The first 3 each day give you 10 x gold and 10 x XP.
That is the equivalent of doing 30 more after that.
If you take 3 in Winsward they usually take you to the same place, easy to complete and fast.

If you are doing it the way you are doing it, not only are you going to need a lot of Azoth to travel, it will also take forever to get anything worthwhile from them.

Play it own way, i activate quests everywhere, has nothing to do with travel cost, i mostly travel to access storage!

Then we agree yes. I have 6 crafting skills I'm trying to max at once so I'm not 200 in most. So yes I craft for skill points and I won't throw away azoth in that. However there are days I have max azoth while crafting and I do spend two or three hundred in throw away gear in the off chance something cool might pop up to sell or give away.
I make optimal use of my play time and what is done during that play time. I'm not a meta or grind guy but just play to have fun. I run a medium sized company with the sole purpose of helping each other and alot of time is spent helping low level and new to mmorpg players achieve thier goals so I can't dedicate all play time to just my own gains.
I think I play with optimal usage of time, material, and azoth and so far have never had to little of any. Although I do always find myself needing Flux.
But to say my point on azoth is worthless because I don't only make end game gear is elitist and against everything I stand for and up till now I thought you did too.
Sorry if you are an elitist who is trying to tell others how to play and I misjudged you.

Buy houses, 1 big main house as your storage hub, the other two for a little extra storage and free/cheap fast travel points. You can recall to these points free/cheaply no matter how heavy your bags are.

I also have my inn recall permanently set in shattered mountain to save on costs travelling there.

Other than that, use tools that have a chance to drop azoth. I cap out on azoth a lot on farming runs.

Lastly, don't be afraid to jump into Outpost Rush for easy coin and azoth.

I think the Azoth for teleportation is a hassle mid-leveling but, after you plan out houses and inns, it gets better.
