Let me say that im happy that LA will finally arrive in other countrys, we waited long enough. Im just not sure if Amazon will do any damage to it, in whatever form. I really hope that it will remain untouched for the most part, but i doubt it to be honest. But when i look at other f2p mmo publisher (what ever), the options were not good in generell anyways i guess.
FF14...
Lost Ark...
Blue Protocol...
Genshin Impact....
Tale of Arise...
At this very moment Eastern games are more creative than Western in many ways.
Western being very pushed by woke stylistic choices make things worse.
FF 14 is a good MMO
Lost Ark... not really out
Blue Protocol, i'm waiting for it but not only had one closed beta
Genshin Impact, not a MMO, but a Good game with a crappy Gacha
Tales of Arise, a Solo Jrpg
The point is they are all quite good games compared to what comes out in the West, especially New World which is a 6/10 game at best.
For me FF ARR was a 9/10, while NW is a 7/10 for the moment, maybe NW will get better with time, it's really subjective
they had the time to hire & fire but they decided not to. now they will put minimal effort into it (see patchnotes) until the game is dead.
1 content patch will release because they started developing it while the numbers were high.
100% Agree. Hence why I said in another thread, that one will be able to judge NW in 1 year or 2. However in the meantime, you have Lost Ark coming out in March 2022, and it seems to be a really fleshed out game (unless they kill it with too much P2W). I have heavy doubts whether Amazon commits to NW for the long run esp if Lost Ark takes a huge chunk of the online players.
You hear so many people saying they are bored of NW already, that they will jump over to LA the second it arrives, even if Amazon fu..s that up with p2w or what else.
It does look like a ridiculously fun game.
And with actual lore (for those of us interested in story), and distinct classes that are actually cool.

I have to tell you that i was once hyped for this game. I simply couldnt resist to become hyped because it was said, it combines two of my favorite genres. Then the years were passing by and with them the hype was gone. I have stopped long time ago to research opcoming releases from A-Z. Actually i like to be surprised as is was with "Days Gone" for example (holly molly, what a cool game). I kinda hope it will be the same with LA.
I will look at the links i promis and im sure i will enjoy what i see ;-)
Hmmm, I've only heard of FFXIV, and that's as a MMO player (real 1s, not that Korean big eyed cartoon junk though), so is maybe a moot point? ;)
Two of them are not MMOs (Genshin and Tales of Arise), and two are not out (Lost Ark is almost there, but Blue Protocol, we will have to wait)
Eastern mmos are designed to be grind fests, you spend hours, days, weeks, months and years going 1 inch forward, that's so they can get you spend hundreds of dollars on boosts and shortcuts to avoid wasting your life grinding.
