pls stop nerfing life staff until you release another healing/support weapon
i literally don't have another choice and it's been nerfed basically every patch since the game came out

i totally understand that it's overperforming in PvP but maybe buff/fix the other weapons or add more methods of healing reduction to them rather than just nerfing the weapon over and over

I'm actually not crying at all, I honestly think heals are fine at the moment. I said so earlier in this thread (it's 4 pages, I don't expect you to read all of that lol), and I think it'd be silly to try to balance healing right now while there are still a lot of bugs left, though this patch was nice.

I was just clarifying the argument and making a point that a tank healer who can hold on against several people long enough for backup to arrive does, in fact, matter in the PvP game modes that actually give rewards.

It's always going to feel bad coming across one of these guys in open world PvP, but that doesn't matter much in the long run, and we shouldn't be balancing for this anyway.

Once we have passives working and other things ironed out, I don't think it would hurt to look at healer survivability at that point and see if it still feels like they are too tanky.

Slow down my dude. Damage Dealers can deliver up to 3k per Attack on a Player. With a single Attack that just needs to hit. I as a Healer need to : 1. Buff my Target. 2. Cast my Heal to Heal maybe 3k. I have to stand still to Cast. If want to max out my Healing i have to go light Armor.

The PvP in NewWorld is rarely 1v1....it is more ofte then not 5+ vs 1.........

I rarely see players using poison, and i rarely see well timend Stuns etc.

They dont need to nerf the Lifestaff. They need to fix Heavy and Medium Armor so that u cant heal ♥♥♥♥ in Heavy and barely can Heal urself in Medium.

Make Healers dedicated.

I'd say otherwise. Life Staff as current, even with the nerfs, is enough to out heal almost everything 1-40. Once you reach about 150 focus, it becomes insanely easy. 200 Focus at 50 lets you out heal everything up to 50. Pick up a Fire Staff, or any other single damage weapon other than bow, and you'll have an easy time.

Granted not as easy as Warhammers, Greataxes, or Hatchets.

For one, Poisons don't exist, and only 1-2 weapons have easy-target CC. They do need to nerf Heavy armor. It's way to strong.

They also need to nerf all the melees except Rapier as well as buff all ranged.

This game has absolutely the worst dsync i have ever experienced in any game. Wars are unplayable and broken, outpost rush is unplayable and broken. All of the game breaking exploits, lag and gold seller spam made everyone and their grandmother pack up and leave this game. I enjoyed this game and tried my best to hang on, but it spits in your face with this horrible server performance. I'm done, this update they fixed a lot of ♥♥♥♥, but it is TOO LITTLE TOO LATE! Everyone left already! They aren't coming back either; because there is no endgame! This game is pay to win because gold sellers dominated the chat from like day 3 and everyone skipped your fake and shallow end game and just bought gold and bought top gear. So what's there to do? Why even beta test and still puke this game out but fix these massive problems a month after release damaging your brand and product in the process? You mean to tell me you guys (devs) had no idea how to fix these problems and miraculously came up with a solution only after you shed 75 percent of your player base? There are 20 year old games out there that perform so much better than this game in PVP, quite frankly its PATHETIC! Shelve it and bring it back out when its a real game, with some real endgame and some real servers that behave better than a 20 year old game.

Anyone else want to add to this feel free.

People here going after life staff like it's the problem. Heavy armour is the issue and will always be. Keep nerfing life staff and good luck finding healers in the future.

All those wars where you will just get burnt down by fire staff players and other range. Dungeons where you get rolled because you've got no sustained healing.

One more nerf to life staff and I'm dropping it for good. Heavy armour and the 2 handed weapons need way more attention but they are the most common things to use so people ignore that.

It is odd that the bow's poison and hatchet disease donot reduce healing effectiveness.
Seems the only really good perk the game has ever had was given to the hatchet.

I agree with you. We really either need more focus based weapons that provide a well rounded secondary compliments to life staff (void gauntlet and club) or for life staff to get those life staff abilities back we lost or were changed. A secondary weapon that doesn't rely on an amber gem to provide best weapon damage is key to fixing life staff builds if they are planning on keeping these nerfs. There are a limited # of bonuses for weapons based on rarity. Currently there are perfectly designed weapons that pair amazingly with Strength, Dex, intel that can take advantage of EVERY bonus to benefit of character. The only Gem that currently gives a bit more damage for a weapon is Amber Gem. The big problem with Amber Gem is it's the only gem that negatively effects bonus since you can't have any chain damage proc bonus.

With this fix, we would be fine with life staff changes I am pretty sure. So a secondary weapon that uses Focus as it's primary for damage would provide the ability to both allow for a different gem to slot in and also provide for chain damage bonus. Win win. Until then we have some bandaged together weapon combos that don't allow for full damage potential compared to other options. This makes the only real rolls for Life Staff currently as support, offtank, or healer. It makes life staff THE slowest paced weapon for quest progression and getting to level 60 compared to other weapon groups. We need these weapons and we need them NOW. Thanks for your thoughts as well.
