Microtransactions
Been following this game since forever. Looked like we might finally get a good well made survival, crafting open world game. But I just saw the in app purchases. Sadly this game is dead on arrival for me now. It should be out of the question for any real gamer. Microtransactions have no place at all in any paid game, free to play of course it makes sense. But a paid game not at all, and before anyone says the bs speal of it's just cosmetic, stop youre part of the problem!

So many terrible decisions made by Amazon. Pretty much Countdown to hoping for a true sandbox MMO to finally drop

I added it to my wishlist, saw the in app purchases after scrolling down, and removed it from my wishlist.

honestly, whats wrong with cosmetics? at that point its purely a decision on the players part if they want to have the pretty shiny and/or support the continuation of a game they like.

You're the problem, its a full priced game and customization and creation are 50% of the game for me and my immersion. So take your micros and go back to mobile gaming good sir.

I bet there will be a ton of free cosmetics in game. I have a feeling this will have some " We spent a bunch of extra Development time to make this really cool item. So we can make more, we are selling it for $2 each. If you like it and want to see more of these, please buy this item skin"

The problem is when the micro transactions are " Buy these costume tokens. They allows you to change your look " Or when it is " Buy this to speed up things." Buying things that are extra and do not help or hurt the game are not the problem. Artist need to make money too.

A buy to play with only cosmetics microtransactions is pretty much the best there is these days. Think about this, WOW has a fee, a monthly fee AND microtransactions. This game is just buy to play... Pretty fair I think!

$2 lol. These days greedy publishers would make that 10 or 15 a piece, not 2. Have you been living in a dream, bubble world inside of your head or something? Wake up.

IMO, as a female gamer, I love having the option to change things up. I truly do not get it when pple rage about cosmetics such as costumes. NOT outfits that give stats - JUST something for looks. Where I personally have a problem is where some games sell things in their shop that whales can turn around and sell in game and make a TON of $$ selling them to other players - OR special items show up in the shop that definitely give players advantages over others. I do not believe this will be one of those games.

I have no issue with cosmetic microtransactions, as long as you can get good looking loot /cosmetics in-game.
It is an issue though, if they deliberately plan the gear that you can get in game to look bad... that is a no go.

If I had to rate gear look from 1 to 10 I would rate it like this:

Leleving look (NPCs throw it after you): 1-5
endgame look(only it in-game for hard achievments and thakes moderate time): 6-8
microtransaction look (you can buy it for IRL money): 6-9
Legendary look(only get it in-game for achievments that are very hard to do and take time): 10

If they would do something like this with cosmetic microtransactions then I would't mind.

EDIT: also, they should't cost more than 8$ for a set... If it is 20$ for just 1 weapon cosmetic, than that is also a fail...
EDIT2: also they have to be account bound... :) No selling for in-game money...

I wish they stayed in mobile gaming. But the mobile gaming model makes so much money that they apply it to pc games.Ever since horse armor dlc i hate micro transaction. At the time they said "if you dont like it dont buy it".The problem with that statement is so many people did buy it that it changed gaming for the worse. We even have dlc before a game is even released.

These days I do accept micro transactions are here to stay, but lets keep it just to cosmetics.Any pay to win crap destroys a game.
