Imagine that, the guild controlling the city has the right to chose who helps defend it.
Now they also could, I dont know, TURN ON OUTPOST RUSH!!
How dare the owning company make the decisions about how and who can defend the town, How dare they.
What if a bunch of babies that don't like the clan all get in the defense and let it fail just to laugh?
You're complaint seems like sour grapes to me. Take a city yourself if you want to fight.
Thats the problem, bosses spawn at different spots and u need rotating teams to help defend when a boss pack or spriggan appears. In my server our guild was the only one which managed to defend one invasion, but the bosses were bugged in that one, thats why we managed.
Main problem with Invasions is tanks are useless, bosses will rush the keep so its pretty much a dps check, on next one wer gonna try 46 rDPS and 4 healers to see how it goes. How can you organize a hard 50 ppl raid if you allow randoms to join at the last minute? We've been trying tactics for weeks now... And every time we lose an invasion we gotta pay to lvl stuff back up, randoms have zero commitment with the territory they're defending.
In a other mmorpg you could just open a new PVE raid any time, play WvW like in GW2 without restrictions 24/7 etc. Here you are limited to a few events per week that only the same handful of players can join.
I like New World itself from the gameplay, but to restrict the endgame to a small group is not a good game design in my opinion. I don't understand why there are no similar events like PVE instances with a outpost defense in a small circle for 10-30 players so that everyone has something from the endgame.
Another thing is currently players are doing pvp missions to make cities conquerable, only to not be allowed to participate for this events. It is getting harder and harder to find players for pvp missions because they are not allowed to take part in the battle for the city at the end of the day.
I hope they add similar content for all players to somehow keep and motivate them.
If you are feeling froggy then jump and do it... Less whining, more doing.
