Weapon with int gem's damage isn't increasing
I have a sword with the frozen int gem in it. When I put more points into intelligence its damage isn't shown as increasing. Why is this?

i could be wrong but i think sword scales off damage first, so you might get diminishing returns from int

well if you read the game is says in convert dmg so your dmg wont increse and its goes of the your primiary stat first THEN intelligence so dont worry till your strengh is maxed before wasting points in intelligence

The gems will take from your main weapon stat before INT, it only chooses one or the other, so if you have more points into STR than INT then it will use STR to scale

It says on all of them "xx% of damage is converted to y. Damage scales off base weapon stat or INT, whichever is higher."

If your weapons base damage is 300 and you use a T5 gem, then 150 damage will be converted. If your int is higher than 150 itl start to scale the damage with your int.

if you are talking about the damage being shown on the right side of the attribute page, it doesn't show for some reason when gems are applied, but if you try to go out and hit something before & after you spend points into intelligence you'll see that the second number "the elemental part" does go up as you put in more inteligence, of course the physical part of the weapon damage won't go up though.

Also as a side note if I remember correctly, the elemental scaling from the gem goes up only from the highest attribute you have that works on said weapons, so if you have 100 str and 99 or less intelligence then only the str is applied, but it works on both portions physical & elemental part, so Higher str than int = int does nothing and is a waste

EDIT: The guy above pretty much said it alreaddy :)

It won't show on the screen, have to use it, its also not a HUGE boost but better then nothing as only the converted portion of the damage scales up.
