Have any of you had the fishing bot problem? every fishing spot i go to has Bots just casting and releasing, maybe it's me, IDK, but it's messed up. have any of you seen this, mostly in ,low level area's.

Someone explained that in this case there is a second party program that tells people what they will catch before they get it. This is why they instant cast and reel back in.

This is not an automated bot but rather a packet sniffer.

Training mobs like that to others is a good way to get banned in most games.

Crawl to them, clipping into them in a crawl, then stand up. That forces them to move a bit and they are no longer hitting the node or fishing spot. I find fxxxing with them much more satisfyling than reporting them.

Lol how would they make fishing bots? every line you throw has a random timer and per type of fish has different click to pull in the line

guessing you dont know that much about coding? bots arent that hard once you expose the core coding. they are ridiculous and can ruin a game, but not that hard to code.

Thought this thread was nonsense but if these are not "bots" they are at least commercial gold farmers. Was at a hot spot today and there were eight lvl 5 to 6 players wearing starting gear - not even the shoes from first, do nothing, quest. Their names were nonsense. Pretty obvious.

I have absolutely no time to write anything while fishing. At a hotspot I am busy fishing the fish without losing the bait. There is no chat. Find a hobby instead of reporting people who fish just because they don't answer you in the chat.

There is a very large difference between people essentially casting and recasting, and people who cast... wait... cast.
But you can tell them apart from real players pretty easily - hell you can tell someone cheating apart from a real player because they cast, wait a moment, then recast when their packet reader tells them whats on the line.

They have multiple accounts then give their stuff to their main account.

eh but thats how i fish.
Also with gathering, while gathering i am lining up my next hemp plant, as soon as i gather, i run to that next plant.
People think you are a bot because you are just on to it.
I have not seen a single bot in game, only bleating little kids cause i steal the hemp from under their noses.

You can clearly see who is a bot and who is not lol. The bots will be wearing cloth armor in a zone to high for them as they cast/recast hundreds of times a minute. Hot spot NW of the elite island in Brightwood is a good example. There's always bots there doing there janky thing. I don't even check it anymore because the bots are always there lmao.

I would get any reports of mobs pulling on me while I was fishing. This disrupts the flow of the game and violates the terms and conditions. I also report when I'm mining and someone pulls opponents to me just to ninja the ore. I get something like that from an instant report. This is malice because he pulled extra enemies with the intention of hindering me in the flow of the game.

my server was super popular , 2700 queue in the first few days , today there is no queue , not in the prime time day and not on the weekend ,
today 3 hours before the maintenance i was doing fishing spot tour , i visit like 5 high demand spots , all of them was empty.

if you see a bot, pull a mob into them and get them killed and report
