right now im using a fire staff + a rapier. im using the staff cuz i made a mage/wizard character so i wanna use magic, but the fire staff isn't that great, i almost wanna use swords more
hopefully theyll add more magic weapons in the future
Rapier I agree, the side-step ability is absurdly good and has nearly no cooldowns if used properly.
Hatchet is good, agreed on most points.
Spear is excellent, but requires more finesse than hatchet or rapier. Rapier particularly I think is very forgiving because of the iframes and fast attacks. Definitely the best weapon right now IMO. Javelin is insane but hard to land.
Bow insane in the right hands, wait until you start finding these players that are insanely good at spacing and kiting.
Musket is goat for long range battles, it’s just too good compared to bow unless you want to put a ton of time into the bow.
I don’t play around with much magic stuff but they all look pretty good to me. I think the ice block on gauntlet is kinda op and just too good overall but that’s it.
- ping : 50ms, yes, melee, range or mid-range battle you wont lose confident or stuttering, this is the best weapon
You can very easily score a kill on someone playing with light armor and 0 constitution if you can catch them by surprise. Except if they start to small rolls, drink health potions and stun you before running. As said the passives is broken on paper but isn't working in a lot of situations due to bugs (not working before you hit someone for exemple) And the light attack is so slow that even with the passive if you try to hit after catching up most of the time the lunge will not proc or you will hit nothing because the guy kept running
SS/LS pure Tank is a nasty combo. If a player runs ill fire life staff at you and if you fire back at 44 I have 8k health and can push 70% mitigation with LS buffs running and heal to full with Hots ticking quickly + defiant stance.
My points in Con/Focus and Gear is a Mix of Str/Foc/Con. Ive found PVP in this game to be much more about staying Alive than putting out damage and if you plan to PVP not lagging behind your level in gear/gear score average. if I stay on top of keeping players infront of me and watch my stamina and time blocks and CC right I can usally hold a couple hammer or GA guys at once for awhile even a good bit higher level.
Shield bash
Power attack
Reverse stab
Repeat
Enjoy your killing potential while being unkillable in return.
Power attack gives empower
Standard hits give slow so they can't run.
If they do run, leap strike.
Repeat from step one.
I agree with you that bow is generally stronger against melee opponents because you can kite forever ( I legit can't beat my bow/spear friend whose 5 level below me just because I cannot even hit them) but I feel like in range battles it will get outclassed by musket and a tank lifestaff build
