Souls-like MMO, why is that?

Its got action combat that isnt tab targeting or crosshair based.
Although ive never heard it be called a "souls like" mmo - its nothing like darksouls.

The only thing they have in common is that they are both great games

The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat makes it similar. The devs went for a dark souls feel with the dodging attacks and poking at your enemy when they open up their defense or you exploit a weakness.

But oh man as soon as you are tagged by an enemy get ready to be chain stunned into oblivion with lvl 65 mobs in some of the zones.

nope at all u dont need to dodge,avoid dmg learn pattern or what so ever just get some Equip and Spamm left click even on elite mobs its a chill game not a challenging one

nothing, for wathever reason people feel like 'soul-like' is a good thing so they try to up the game using it.

its not similar to dark souls unless maybe a reverse dark souls where you play a typical mob in dark souls and npc in new world would be player since devs gave mobs a lot of knock down/stun/stagger abilities as well as immune to players crowd control abilities infinite dodge stamina as well as attacks that are too fast to counter attack with slower weapons at least my hammer cannot hit fast enough so you just mostly stand there take it like a champ unless you can 1 combo mobs or kite
