Not really the answer he needs… OP download msi afterburner and set your fan curve, limit your FPS, turn off any performance mode settings you may have on for the game
I got tired of my PC sounding like a SpaceX Delta Heavy taking off when rendering videos and playing heavy games so I just water-cooled my CPU and GPU.
CPU 56c
GPU 70c
If that is the case, and you are going to take the fan unit off anyway to apply new thermal past, might want to consider putting on a better fan kit. Does not have to be expensive.
I replaced my stock fan unit with an EVO Hyper 212 ($40 at the time), and man it runs cool now. That being said, your stock fan might be just fine too.
Do watch some videos on removing the fan unit from the CPU, just to be sure you don't make a critical mistake. And be sure to measure inside your case for fit if going for a new kit. :)
Good Luck!

Coolant lots of case fans (all working). Liquid cooling cpu cooler.
Do we know what causes this jet engine reaction? Is it a known issue, or im special?
This is perfectly normal compared to the problems this animals have given me.
I'm actually running a similar build to you:
i9-9900x
2070RTX
64gb DDR4
1tb Samsung SSD
CoolerMaster HAF 932 Advanced
My temps stay around mid 40's for CPU and 60's for GPU while in New World running everything maxed at 4k capped at 60fps.
