Can you sell or upgrade your house?
Since the servers are down, figured now would be a good time to ask...

Currently I'm at like 17 rank for the town I want to buy a house in. But since storage is becoming an issue, I'm considering buying a house. Due to not being rank 30(?), I can't get the Tier 4 house yet. So I'm stuck with lower options. I know we get a 50% off for the first house purchased. I'm not really talking about that.

What I'm asking is, if I purchase a Tier 1 or 2 house now, in say Windsward (regardless of discount), can I refund that purchase and get a Tier 3 or 4 house later?

I know you can abandon a house. What I mean, is ---- Do I get my money back if I abandon?

I don't think you'll get any gold back from abandoning your house. I think it's meant to be a gold sink to help prevent or postpone the inevitable inflation that will happen later down the line.

Ahh, I see. Well, thanks. :) Actually glad to know they are attempting some gold sinks.

I know the first house had 1 slot for a storage chest, 2nd house has 2, up to the 4th house having 4.

Anyone know how much storage (weight capacity) is added by each chest? Are there different "tiers" of chests? Trying to decide if buying a smaller house can be justified at this point. Long way to rank 30 hehe.

I could easily be 100% wrong here since I haven't even bought a house yet myself but I think you can own more than one home?

Yes, but where are you going to play New World?

You have like 10k gold for a tier 4 house already? You probably accelrate the amount of gold you earn in later stage of the game and then 20k is not a crazy amount.
