TWO GPU BURNT OUT IN A ROW (GTX1080 TI & 3090 from ASUS)
I am not talking about gameplay or server issues. Those are corner of iceburg.

I was enjoying the game with my friends, he burnt out two GPU IN A ROW.( GTX 3090 AND GTX 1080TI from Asus)
P.S. All changed to low quality and FPS capped.

GTX 3090 is huge news got burnt out but that doesn't mean it is right. A brand new card and the first game is New World then It was burnt straight after the tutorial. The screen went black and can't turn back on.

GTX 1080TI was burnt out after 2 hours of gameplay. The same thing happened, the screen went black and can't turn back on. Be aware of it, these is two different computers.

After being burnt out, two parties are refused their fault. This means, we are stuck in the middle and wasted over 3000£ GPUs. Now I strongly recommend you, if you are starting the game now. You will need to take the risk of burning your GPU as well as no one is going to help you once it is burnt out. Both parties said to contact another side. This isn't going to end. I am really shocked at how they are actually solving the problem.

That's the fault of the manufacturer. This is just a game. Contact them instead, you troll.

Burnt or just no card found? At case 2 https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/gaming-pcs/8/215850/graphics-card-burnt-/ basicaly.. just change it for your drivers and devices.
It resulted in a wattage problem. Means: a better psu and its ok.

Pretty sure the 3090 would be under warranty , Asus would get you to send it back to them,
Its because game consuming more of your gpu usage on background. So its unsafe to minimize the game.

It's widely known that 30xx series tend to malfunction and get burnt like toast, but I am surprised about 1080ti. I also use one, which I have bought about 3 years ago, and it still works flawlessly.

If you aren't an actual computer technician, do not overclock your hardware. It's to be done by professionals. Just because there are OC softwares provided by these big manufacturers, doesn't mean it makes you a pro hardware tech. If you want to OC your rig, then bring it to a pro and get it done right.

The same reason people bring their engine to pro tuners and engine builders, because they don't have the equipment neither the knowledge to do it. Stop garage tuning your hardware!

I do not understand, if the 3090 is a brand new card then RMA to asus and under the warrenty they have to replace or repair. Unless of course the card was overclocked by your friend which could void said warrenty

So let us look at this with some reality and FACTS. First off burning out a GPU means that there was TOO much heat built up. That would not be something that a game developer has any control over. That is something the pc owner needs to be RESPONSIBLE for. How is a game developer suppose to know that your PC has poor ventilation and will burn up? How can they address that with YOUR PC? They can not you MUST be RESPONSIBLE for what is owned by YOU!!! No one else. I had a GPU burn up long ago and you know what? The game I was playing had NOTHING to do with it. I have a house full of dogs and the vents and fans got caked with hair, dust, dirt. That was on ME as it was MY choice to ignore the FACT that I should have CLEANED things better and addressed poor VENTILATION.

Next up how can you sit next to a PC that burns a GPU and NOT feel the heat? Again another example of the PC owner's RESPONSIBILITY!!!!!

Of course it is better to blame others so that we can try the old Law Suit route to get free stuff. Good luck with that buddy. If you burnt one card up you should have looked at the HOW, WHY, Cause, Effect, before installing another.
