RuneScape vs New World?

Curious on your takes.

Mined you, I LOVE the fact New World will not have a subscription based service (that's why I have never played MMO's, I found it stupid to have to pay monthly/yearly to play a game).

New World reminds me kinda of Pirates of the Caribbean Online (the only MMO I ever played and did the subscription (even though was stupid and again I never played an MMO after that one got shut down)). Thus, I'm interested in it. First MMO I'll play in DECADES.

I never played RuneScape and was put off by the subscription thing because (like all MMO's) lock most of the story, and even the full map beyond a subscription fee.

Thus, why I found New World to be intriguing! Love the idea that I pay for the game and I have ALL of the game (plus microtranctions for cosmetics etc, which is fine).

Runescape > New World

At least content wise. Lore is BY FAR is way superior in Runescape as well. It has the advantage of been realising content for the past 20 years.

Quests are pretty unique not to be found in any other game.

It was the game that consumed my teen years.

The Runescape's subscription is totally worth it for the content you get.

You might also want to consider taking a look at Guild Wars 2 if you want an MMO with no subscription
