But If people really feel the advantage is larger than im making it out to be Amazon could always just add servers that doesn't have addon support. That way each party can get what they want :).
DPS Meters are there to help people optimize their builds to tweak them to perfection, reaching the highest consistent dps for Raids, and best Dps burst rotations for PvP.
And they help you finding who never to invite to either PvE or PvP ever again when ya notice they are lvl 60 and doing less than 3k dps.
Let people have fun and create ideas that Amazon might consider using in the future. I mean, it is free ideas right?
All they said is they wont officially support mods, with that said a dps meter would be good, people saying otherwise are just bad.
Shroud asked a developer, who was watching his stream yesterday, if the mini-map was allowed and they said that it probably wasn't a good Idea to use in case you get banned and they have not finished discussing if they want mods/overlays yet.
