They already confirmed a pvp arena, that should calm down the outcry for more pvp content.
A "small" but meaningful change I'd like to see is the removal of fixed times for sieges. If a guild wants to attack a fort let them do it. It feels to static for my taste if you have to agree upon a date.
To prevent a solo player from capping the fort a strong elite npc could be the commander who needs to be killed before capturing the fort. Basically like GW2 WvW gameplay.
To attack or defend a fort you must have pvp enabled. Maybe thats enough of an incentive for people to more often flag for pvp if they just want to stroll around and unexpectedly group up with other people to attack a fort. PVP Guilds would benefit from more combat opportunities because an attack could happen 24/7. Some siege mechanics like the respawn would need a change though, to work with the new gameplay.
This could have a big impact on pvp players without changing anything for pve players.
I really like this idea - to a point. I do think there needs to be a cool-down period between when a new force can attack. The issue after launch settles down is companies would just wait until they go to bed then attack - a major issue at the beginning of GW2 which pretty much ruined WvW for a lot of people.
I agree as well that more NPCs need to be a part of the PvP play. Mixing the two together helps to blur the line and entices more of the PvE crowd to join in.
You Compair New World with ....( Albion online with 9500 daly players )
OMG
These areas are good farming spots, whatever EXP, weapon skill gains or loot. Nothing stops you from enabling PvP flag as a group and going there.
Honestly I think Amazon could try to spice the PvP flag up with higher yields from gathering away from cities and higher chance for better loot, rare resources.
How would something like this work in New World? There (Dark Age of Camelot), they had a three-realm system where areas would be open for fighting between players from different realms. Would you like to see something like this?
Would the faction wanting to go into the dungeon need to control outposts or something?

''None of them state exactly what they want'' More pvp, i've seen people suggest pvp zone, arena and PvPvE dungeons which benefits both. Greedy, i don't think so tbh. I also want more pve stuff, all i want is for this game to succeed, and to do so, me personally and obv alot more like you say, think it needs more pvp content.
After Alpha 1 it was obvious the direction they want to focus on. From the examples given throughout all of the testing, it has proven that Open world PvP is very toxic. Structured PvP not so much.
So with the direction they have been going with the overall community and the game, I would safely say the open world suggestions are going to fall on deaf ears. Especially since most exploits throughout all of the testings has been used mostly by those of open world PvP intent.
You can see this direction with how the game has been evolving from Alpha 1 to now.
The minorities will not like it (OWPvP players), but it is the direction AGS wants to go. Sorry, not sorry.
As for the blame game for the evolution of New World from Alpha 1 to present? All the articles, including the ones from AGS state that the toxic nature of open world PvP is to blame for the shift. Not PvP as a whole.

TO be honest, I think one real fix would be to do the WAR system when it comes to open world PvP. I would enjoy seeing a PvP nameplate poultry going down then skinned.
Isn't the point of a dungeon to kill what's inside, and not each other?
