The whole idea is not to level all crafting to max. Otherwise there would be no market, since everyone can craft anything they want.
See and I understand that as someone who used to craft on wow and ESO.
But the fact that by the time you have star metal gear for crafting (aka level 100 crafting skills)
You already have 440 gear.
Star metal starts at 375 for crafting, the LEVEL 25 RAID will give you 380 gear., That's level 35 gear at level 25.
There's zero point to be a crafter besides for endgame rn.
So that being said, if i invested so much time gathering, and my gathering skills are so low. And stuff i could craft sometimes was better then what i got.
I wanted starmetal, i was like level 30, and my mining was about 58, and i needed it 100. So i farmed stone for 5 hours to get it to 100. It's so out of balance sadly so i will
+1 for the OP, crafting needs buff indirectly at least
Funny enough that's how my guild is doing it, they are pushing all metal and such to me, yet even with something like that? You can only get about 1500-2000 ore with 2 good backpacks, and that's about a 30 min walk/farm grind with good tools.
Now divide that by 175k.
Now also realize there's no point to level crafting because you can just kill a random mod at the same level as you and get gear better or same level as stuff you can craft
Then it feels like a ♥♥♥♥♥
I also wanted to craft some spears but lord I have yet to find a single piece of fairy iron (if that's what it's called in the english version).
This morning I took an hour of my free time and grinded over 2k wood from young trees just to reach tree choping lv50. God knows how long it will take to reach lv125 for the next tree.
Ofc not everyone is supposed to be the best crafter but at least let me be able to learn ONE thing decently. Hell give me an option to choose a speciality and give an XP bonus only for the harvesting skills required for that speciality.
Some armor does give XP bonus's
As well as some tool buffs, however their only about 1.5-5% buffs per gear part.
1-100 is not that bad of a grind, but 100-200 is stupid hard, and only useful endgame.
Again at level 25 I've got what crafting considers level 35 gear
I'm 30 now, and still won't craft actual armor or blades and such till end game because it's just not worth the mats or XP to make any of it besides the low level trash stuff.
Invest into crafting and don't just look at some random guides.
The level 25 raid that's the. First raid drops gear at 330-380 with way better stats and stuff.
Also anything crafted is level locked, so star metal tools/gear/weapon's?
Level 35.
You will have way better gear by the time you unlock it level wise, let alone grind wise
Yes, but if I am not mistaken it goes to level 600.
Also, do not forget about the drop only recipes. They do exist, and you might end up being the only one on your server who can craft it because the recipe dropped for you.
Think about the $$$ that will make you crafting for others and charging crafting fees.
Max crafting is level 200, if it hit 600 I would die.
I do actually have one cooking drop only craft, however I have been told that all the legendary gear (weapons as I don't think there's legendary armor) that can drop from raids us BPs only, so to get the best gear you MUST be a crafter.
Hence why I said it needs a buff because if not there's zero point to crafting until endgame
