[SOLVED] PC Shut down/Restarts
I played for around 15 minutes and while I was going to do the first mission in the game my PC just shuts down/restarts. There is only one other game where this has happened to me, which is Back 4 Blood Beta.

-Could not find a fix for that game either, I don't know if there's a problem with my PC or perhaps the game I'm playing.-
*SOLUTION: Update motherboard BIOS.*
^^^This worked for me at least^^^

Specs:
RTX 2060
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
32GB ram

I also capped FPS to 60 just to be safe. GPU temperature was around 70 degrees. If anyone knows some things I could try then that would be very appreciated.

Might want to try using low latency ultra on nvidia control panel. That option will share rendering process to both cpu and gpu.

I believe I already had that on while playing, and I was going to try turning it off to see if it changed anything.

okay turning it off seemed to restart my pc in the main menu, great...

whats your PSU?
maybe your rig is pulling too much power.

I don't know the name or model but it's 750 watt

750 should be more than enough.

might be worth making sure all your drivers are up to date, maybe run a memory test etc.. just in case.

check temperature (i had same issue and in the end it was power supply fan
died out so it overheat after some time in some games)

one other thought.

check your bios settings, if you are over clocking your RAM turn that off and see if that helps.

i have a couple of games that dont play well with over clocked RAM.

Yeah, good (bad) news, but I checked the temperature of my CPU while launching the game, and as soon as it hit 70 degrees everything blacked out.

so I guess it really was the CPU all this time, don't know why I never went and checked it...

Well 70c is no where near max temp before shutdown so that is probably not your issue. Unfortunately it can be hard to diagnose such an issue, but check windows event viewer and see if there's an error right before It last shutdown. Could be bad RAM, a bad PSU, bad CPU, bad MB, etc. You just have to process of elimination really. Run memtest, and try furmark, etc.

However, if it does keep shutting down repeatedly at exactly 70c I'd assume there is something wrong with your CPU or bios settings.

ouch, i thought the cut out was higher on the r5 5600X?

i know my r7 2700X once in a blue moon hits 83 which has me worried, but next pay day going to pick up a closed loop water cooler to put in my rig to fix that odd spike as usually around 73 otherwise.

bios safety ll turn it off (in my case it was 80 celsius)

I played without any problems since the release. But today i got the same problems with pc shutdowns, something must be overheating. I will try a pc cleanout, clean all fans and heatgrills from dust inside the tower. I read a lot about people with overheating GPUs even in the queue.
