New World Bans
There are numerous comments in the Steam discussions regarding potential abuses in the "banning" of players from the New World game. These discussions illustrate the wide diversity of opinions on the type of behavior that warrants a ban. If any players feel offended or complain about behavior they don't like, the developer apparently can ban paying customers without any evidence to support that decision. Paying customers are guilty until proven innocent. I would consider that offensive and abusive if the developer did that to me. Seems like there could be some legal issues also.

In all of human history, people have used foul language and offended other people in various ways, especially in competitive environments such as sports, wars, and now multiplayer PvP video games. However, in the New World video game, it seems that you must not swear and must behave nicely to other players as you hack them up and kill them (in game) with lots of blood, yelling, and screaming (but no cursing). Come on, New World is a violent PvP game, not a family picnic - it is unreasonable to expect players to be "nice" when they compete with each other and fight to the death (virtually). It is inevitable that some people will feel bad and some people will feel good in this game. Players should not be banned for that reason.

Bans should only be used when there is verifiable cheating.

or they might want to keep their game in a more mature area rather than let children and immature adults fill it with stupid and offensive names.

Sadly games today are made by blue haired girls who want to force left wing agendas rather than focus on making good games

also customers today are drones that love to defend companies taking their rights away
More like gamers these days are unable to accept the consequences of their action........Sounds familiar~

Seems you are late of many years.

From when the reporting tool started to be used in videogames, many SH started to ban for insulting, not only in new world.

Wow, Eso, Cs:go, siege, overwatch and many others, are all game do ban for insulting.

Ban all the trolls and little kids spitting stupidity in global chat! they will learn not to be abusive, global chat isn't there to stroke your ego. Banning should remain as it is. since that is only a 24 bannable offense. the fact they are actually doing something about little bratty kids running there mouths, its a good thing.

More bans mean less queues, no lack of people wanting to play so check your behaviour or be culled.

Only applies to government actions, and only for those in the US. The sooner people like you realize this, we can have actual discussions again.
