DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE AN RTX 30XX SERIES GPU
Due to the toxicity i am receiving from this post trying to inform users of the risks of playing this game i am posting fresh news about this since people have a problem with some videos from 2 months ago which are still relevant.

It will brick your graphics card via heating it up until artefacts appear or it straight up dies.

ALL EVIDENCE SUPPORTING THIS CLAIM IS DOWN BELOW.

disclaimer: this is not a post to debate which graphics card are better made than others. the fact stands that your 30xx series GPU is AT RISK with this game regardless of why it is caused. the main factor here is something bad MAY or MAY NOT happen but the risk is significantly higher than it has any right to be.

lmao, the game didnt do anything, it was a problem with ONLY EVGA's 3090 cards, it was faulty soldering, with all this "research" surprised you didnt see that lmao. reporting this thread for misinformation

Only this game caused cards to brick. Has nothing to do with soldering mate.

It has not been solved.

you realize that no game can "brick" a graphic card unless it somehow changes settings like fan speed etc. its the manufacturers doing crap work, or people building der pcs very poorly with not enough cooling for such a giant card. basically any software that will use 100% of the GPU power will kill it in that case.

if it was the games fault it wouldnt exclusively hit 30xx card but all kinds of gpu's

i hope this is understandable enough.

I've seen reports of RTX 3090, RTX 3080Ti, RTX 3080, RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3000 laptop GPUs, EVGA and Gigabyte. It's not "just" EVGA 3090's.

I've also read that the game overrides power limits set in the GPU's bios. If you set max power usage to 100%, you can surge up to 130%. Apparently, if you set power usage to cap out at 90%, you can get 100% power usage spikes.

"New World is still causing havoc causing more RTX 3090 cards to brick themselves. This time its not EVGA cards that are dying.."

EVERY link he linked, was because of the EVGA cards, notice the date on those videos, it was when the open beta happened, also in EVERY video, they specifically say, its evga cards and it was the beta. so my statement is correct

if new issues are happening, he should have linked problems that are happening now, not old issues

If they "fixed" the beta issues, and new issues (basically the same issues) occur, it's not a non-issue, and it's still relevant information.
