Mass reporting got FEXTRALIFE BANNED - Please read.

I urge you to read this post and keep an open mind, please.

If you dare talk about this subject you are labelled having deserved it and in nearly all instances have hate and vitriol thrown at you.

I call on Windsward or another moderator to review my ban that I received today and I give you permission to publicly identify me and the contents of my ban. I implore you to put the evidence and rationale of why I have been banned here in the public eye for scrutinisation and approve it to be shared, after all it's my data right? I am not trying to be confrontational or cause any unrest but I am exasperated by Amazons support service which is below standard and not fit for purpose.

The most complete definition of censorship is currently taking place on Reddit. I posted there in the same manner and tone as I do here and it was removed within 5 minutes. Multiple threads and examples are being deleted. They are really hot on it and I hope on steam we have a more impartial and transparent approach.

I am not here for hate or to be flamed or trolled and maybe just maybe Amazon aren't quite being as upfront about the level of human involvement in reviewing reports and issuing bans as they wish to appear. I don't doubt there is human involvement in the process but lets be honest its probably the bare bone amount needed to be able to say that there is human interaction when in reality due to the volume of reports that must be received there is a level of automation taking place.

Please do take the time to read this and I am quoting FEXTRALIFE from his clip yesterday and a direct reply to me today on his stream. He is a humble and good person and perhaps a little faux par on his part in omitting this happened to him as it was rectified very quickly by Amazon and we needn't wonder why. FEXTRALIFE admits to being banned and that this was the cause. He know's whats going on and he has every right to try and be diplomatic about it, its his job, but at least he isn't out and out denying it.

My story in brief, I have now been banned for the 2nd time in 3 days. I don't even care for the first ban anymore at this point but the 2nd one today is a clear example that the system is being abused. Since returning to New World this morning following my prior ban which is a suspected mass report because we saw people calling for me to be reported in general chat for "stealing gold" "scamming" and "spamming" of which is an utter lie. I ignored all of this and muted the offenders after my initial question of why are you doing this and what have I done to you was ignored and mocked. Muted I went about my day until i was banned.

Anyway yes I came back today. I have posted 2 recruitment shouts in the recruitment channel I would say roughly 45 minutes apart. This could have been 3 times over the course of perhaps 4 hours but no more and each was hand written and short; no way this amounts to spam.

The remainder of my talking took place in company, which was minimal and in faction chat. We have screenshots of this. In faction chat all I have said is about what people want to have upgraded in the town next and that could people please help with managing influence. In no way shape or form have I been abusive, sworn, trolled or been toxic; I have genuinely been nothing but humble. Interestingly the screenshots of me talking were taken by another company member and unbeknown to me as I had them muted one of the players previously trolling in chat was responding to me talking (but I couldn't see this) and was trolling telling me to stop spamming. This is the first thing I had said in I estimate 20 minutes?

So here we have it. I am calling on Windward or any moderator to step in and review my ban. Post the results here for us all to see. The evidence and rationale of why I was banned today for what has been recorded on my ban as disruptive behaviour.

I mean no ill will toward anyone here. I am simply asking for transparency and fairness and maybe just maybe people are actually being abused in this way and treated unfairly and if that is the case here why are we not protecting the people on the right side of this.

[1st Edit] - Lots of mixed messages here. For the record and to be impartial if I have done anything wrong I'll admit the error of my ways but until I am presented with an example of my behaviour that's resulted in this second ban, or even my first, I am in the dark about what could have been the cause. How can one be banned but not actually told what they've been banned for? As I've said I am seeking clarity on the matter and I am not here for trolls or to incite hate or argument. Please keep on topic. The mods and ourselves are here to get on and work together. I am simply exploring this platform as all others have failed miserably so far. And also it stated the ban was for 2 days, but it's actually 3 to add insult to injury.

[2nd Edit] - Plenty of folks have opinions on this and open dialogue is positive. To summarise I have highlighted this has happened to FEXTRALIFE so people understand there's a very real chance the system is being abused. I have opened myself up to be exposed for either a) a person who hasn't been abiding by the TOS and I can be made an example of or b) I have been unfairly banned and targeted by a small number of people on my server who have taken a disliking to me which they have made public in global chats but I made the mistake of just muting them opposed to reporting them and probably having them banned. I have called on Windsward or another moderator to expose the ban received on my return to New World on Saturday 02/10/21. I want to work with our moderators in a positive and constructive way.

Additional images of me talking in faction chat. This was my only interaction in faction chat apart from some recruitment messages spaced out over the course of yesterday morning. After my first comment in the faction chat that day you can see a player say "stop spamming" - this isn't factual and an example of the sort of thing I am talking about when I simply try to play the game and use the communication mechanics available. A snide or sarcastic comment always follows by the same players. Not to directly name them but it's the same handful of names making these comments whenever I try to communicate in chat. It simply isn't being said to anyone else.

I don’t mean to be rude but you don’t understand what’s happened. He’s a big time streamer and he was talking about mass reports and bans he said he got banned off stream for it and spoke to Amazon and they unbanned him. This evidences the report tool able to be abused. He’s a sponsored streamer on Amazon. He would not break their TOS and be banned. I don’t know how much clearer I can make it.

I think everyone agrees with that, only that's not the case here.

People are being unfairly targeted by groups and are subsequently banned, with no real explanation or justification. If you try to appeal your ban you are ignored, if you try to escalate it you get nowhere, if you ask for clarification on the ban you get told to go f- ...arm some hemp.

The issue is that AGS won't admit their reporting system is flawed and exploitable*.
