So I just noticed that most of the towns have the same pattern or layout.
I was looking for a town to buy my first house, that's when I started travelling to towns that's beyond my level (I did it by dodging a lot of monsters) And it's kinda sad to realized that most of the towns look the same. That you can't even distinguish the difference. Is it because they're lazy to create a diverse looking map? I hope that the towns feels like WOW where you can distinguish it from other towns. (sorry for my bad grammar)

I get what you're coming from.

I doubt they ran out of ideas, though.

I believe they decided to make it more streamlined - so that you don't have to worry about the layout too much and just keep on grinding those quests.

Just my guess.

I'm guessing you don't realize that the game is designed to have a progression from settlements all the way to actual cities, the layouts initially will be very similar but become more grand over time with player investment. When you get a chance, take a look inside the townhall governor's desk and planning table. You will see the upgrade paths.

No, what I mean is almost every location of the house that you can buy or even the townhall is located at the same spot on other towns as well. Do you get me? try going back in fort in the same town and you'll see what I mean. For example in every town hall there's this 1 house near it that cost 2.5 (for the first buy) I'm telling you that their pattern is really identical and it's sad because it kinda feels like unimaginative and lazy.

Hmmm, not really because if you're trying to sell a game like this you'll it sure that every town you go to feels like different in a way. But here it's just the theme that's different, you can actually notice that all building's location are the same. And that's really sad.

you'll notice when you get higher level all the mobs are just lazy reskins as well.

yeah agreed its depressing seeing all the same stuff over and over. same with pasta mentioning the reskins.

I thought there would be some badass architecture in game and so far theres zero :steamfacepalm:

my guess would be that they are all hamlets and not actual towns yet

Agreed, they're basically all the same aside from layout, if I'm going to spend a lot of hours grinding to buy a house I'd at least like the town to not feel like a slight variation from other towns. Maybe they'll do something along the lines of 'the more you unlock the more your town grows' but I don't know anything about the future plans for the game.

As far as I'm concerned, the only difference is the crafting tiers.

THANK YOU! Yes they have the same layout that's what I wanted to say! and it's so awful because the only difference is the crafting station locations!

Yes! that too! When I ventured to the higher lvl places they all just used the same bipedal model and just reskinned it. I was really hoping for a different experience in this game but so far it's just sad. Played for 40+ hrs already and there's nothing much to do or to see. We can't even swim. :steamsad:

It looks like the devs reused assets, kinda like an early-access lower budget game would do. The characters you interact with in town even have the same generic non-interactive short animation loops. It's very lazy design and I assume they rushed more than a few things because of how quickly they completely changed the game before pushing out the release. It's mostly a shuttle for a cash shop anyways tbh. There are some decent graphics in some areas, but there is also A LOT of repetition in assets used(some slight color changes, but same asset models).
Mourningdale is the 1st original looking town that i discovered, hopefully there are more :) But yeah i fail to understand why Amazon couldn't make theme based towns like wow did 17 years ago.
