Watch the video linked software CAN and sometimes WILL brick hardware, I thought the same as you until I did some research on furmark which can STILL brick your PC and even warns you before running it that it can cause irreversible damage to components
https://www.overclock.net/threads/can-furmark-kill-your-gpu-actually-yes.1360263/
Hardware has always been this way, it just doesn't happen that often.
Sorry to hear that man, be careful, please!
oh nonono, ofc not. it's Amazon's game burned them, ofc.
NVIDIA card scorched by game. never happenend and here we go again. lol
They really do need to get rid of that animated queue screen though. I can feel it raising my power bill while waiting.
I must be lucky.. Hopefully that holds up.
Stop spreading misinformation. Do your research. Three brands are now confirmed to be being effected. I'm just trying to help people be safe, if you choose to hide under the conspiracy theory that everyone is just trying to go after Amazon and burning their cards on camera for clout then that's up to you but other people deserve a chance to make the choice for themselves.
This is incorrect, it's been happening ANY high voltage card of ANY brand. Do. Your. Research.
WHy becasue you say so or someone else did..prove it. Games do not brick GPUs. GPUs fail because of issues in the GPU.
Look into FurMark which is mentioned in the JayzTwoCents video, software (if designed incorrectly) CAN brick hardware. It's happened before, only it doesn't happen often.
