It's a Buy-to-Play game so a one time buy BUT there will be a Cash Shop so it's still possible that an optional monthly subscription will be included.

Hopefully there is a monthly subscription as an OPTION. There should be multiple ways to acquire things, either from in-game (within reason) and with real money, in different forms.

If it is b2p with an optional monthly sub, it will turn into a toxic p2w game. Definitely hoping for NO subscription option that gives anything even remotely obtainable in-game.

I Agree With the NO Subscription, if they have a store for Skins only, fair enough. But otherwise, Everyone should be on the same scale of starting out and getting through the content without a Store or subscription Gating crap. I also agree if their is ever a subscription option this game will turn to trash in a hurry.

I am being very optimistic that they actually get the business model right and can survive without breaking peoples wallets otherwise they will just be like all the other company's currently out there.

One time buy with purely cosmetics is great. IF they go P2W with a cash shop or allow people to then SELL the cosmetics they buy ? Then, as much as I love this game - I will be OUT. We don't need yet one more game for WHALES.

Originally it was going to be an amazon prime sub only. There was so much anger and outcry from the community they turned it into buy to play now. Im glad they did.

Why would there be complaints? an amazon yearly sub is cheaper than a mmo sub. prime is 9.99 a month most mmos are 14.99 a month. So it would be an amazing buy if the game was free with prime..

Most people dont want to pay a monthly bill to play a game. Those games just milk communities for far more money than they need and most of us can see that.

Are their popular games with subs? Yup! That doesnt changed the fact most people hate subs and rightfully so. I had actually forgotten about this game for a couple years since back in the day it was going to be sub based. To my surprise I find out today it will be buy to play and they wont be milking us monthly for money with a sub.

Yeah, I am glad it is a one purchase sort of thing. I am still nervous of the cash shop and the possibility of needing a premium membership since it seems like nothing to break game development promises lately, but I am tempted by this game. I am just not sure if it caters enough to my preferences to pick up.

Haha so true. I think that any MMO needs to have a steady income to keep producing new content and an optional sub is the way to go. ESO has a good balance...buy the base game with recent expansions included one-time, buy new expansions one-time, or buy sub and have access to all the expansions (and some bonuses, which are not really a big deal since leveling is pretty quick. Really the biggest bonus of sub is the humongous bank space that comes with a sub.) Of course gambling crates too.
