UPDATE #24 - IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES

Hello, Drivers! In this update, I fixed some bugs, worked on improving the gaming experience, and, thanks to the community, localizations were updated.

UPDATE #24 is now available!

UPDATE #24 CHANGELOG

WORLD
- Major optimization of the starting garage. (FPS increased by about 80%).
- Optimization of the starting store (FPS increased by about 25%).
- Character animation fixes.

CARS
- Fixed the Sparrow dashboard (gauges no longer blink).
- Sparrow trunk lid no longer clips objects when closing.
- Fixed the position of the air filter on the Sparrow (it no longer sticks out from under the hood).
- Sparrow headlights now work correctly (the range of the light is no longer affected by the position of the camera).
- Changed the radius of the Sparrow headlights.

ITEMS
- Primer now uses up its stock.
- Fixed damage to Sparrow windshield (it now has cracks).
- Fixed position of Sparrow left and right door in character's hands.
- Fixed position of Sparrow trunk lid in character's hands.

LOCALIZATIONS
- German localization update. Thanks to Panther!
- Portuguese Brazilian localization update. Thanks to Apolo!

Is there a way to PLACE objects? (items)

Just trying to find out if theres a way to PLACE not THROW items??? I'm getting enraged just trying to sort out all my junk just because I HAVE TO TOSS IT at the damn shelf.... wttthhhh

How do I use it? And does it spawn a cassette, or how does it work? Edit: either recommend something or please otherwise refrain from commenting, i'm using this post as a list. i made another post regarding the actual issue.

The Long Drive-inspired game with actual gameplay and regular updates? In this economy????

It’s already better just by the fact that it runs great - you can easily play it on a Steam Deck (the only issue is the keyboard button prompts). There aren’t as many purely immersive details (like being able to push the car, interact with mirrors, or lean out of the window) but in return, all the physics interactions are solid and jank-free, unlike TLD. Enjoyers of barely tapping a cactus and then chasing their entire inventory across the desert will be disappointed.

Also, the terrain and POI generation are way more interesting and varied. Loot actually matters, and it spawns in believable places instead of being 1000 random junk items dumped across every location. There's also much more "meat" to the gameplay, with even some progression between rides.

If the devs keep pushing updates and adding improvements, this might just become my go-to game in this niche genre of endless, procedurally generated road trip games.

UPDATE #23 is now available!

A NEW CAR HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE GAME - A MUSCLE CAR! (not a station wagon). Add STYLE to your journey - throw away all the unnecessary junk, put some cool music in the stereo and go!
Due to community requests, I have added a new item - primer - it will update the color of the body/items to light gray. Painting will now become more convenient.
I see some messages about items that you are returning home going missing. I am working on fixing this error. Difficulties arise because this error (apparently) occurs only on weak/medium PC configurations.

UPDATE #23 CHANGELOG

- Updated POI - Bunker with Missile Silo
- Added new items to starting shop
- Added new items to roadside shops
- Added new item spawn locations at some POIs
- Fixed flickering of landscape at junkyard with crane

CARS

- Trailers have been added. You can find them in the wild.
- Fixed the item blocking area on the Farm Truck. Items will no longer drop while driving.
- Fixed mesh and collision of the starting pickup
- The Cobr4 cassette holder can now fit a sixth cassette

I was watching other players playing Under the Sand and I was really interested! I am retired and I enjoy gaming. Driving games are my favorite and Under the Sand offers that and more! I started my second play through now that I understand what to do I really love it! Try it! You will like it!

very fun road trip simulator. you can custimize your car and your guy and you have to have face paint on your guy... they'res diffrent things like wanderer and enchanted motorcycle dude (he only weres a diaper) 10/10 game!
