Saving Mid-Run
I've been trying to figure out how to save during Deep Dives. When I googled it, there were posts talking about how it wasn't possible but those were old.

I commented on one of them and got a response that the post was too old and that you can indeed save now! But they didn't say how to do it.

I figured I'd make a new thread instead of continuing to post on that old one. Can someone tell me how to save a run and come back to it? Does it work in co-op?

Your run is automatically saved when you exit the game during a run, when you start up the game again you'll get a message saying you can continue or abandon that run. It works in co-op as well, but only when both people stopped playing at the same moment and both people rejoin after that, so that's only really applicable when you're playing with a friend and not a random person you got matched with.

This is very helpful, thanks. I am asking about playing with a friend, not a random person online. So we just have to exit the run at the same time and then the next time we start a run together, it'll ask us if we want to continue that one?

not quite.

Next time you log into the game, it will ask you if you want to continue OR ABANDON the run. There is no other option.

It's quite awkward with another player, but technically you can resume it....both of you should log in and select continue run, though you BOTH need to enter in order to actually resume as a 2 player run (otherwise if one enters and the other isn't available, you'll just be solo in a multiplayer run).

Unfortunately, this means that you can't "suspend" a run and do a different run instead. It's basically locked to "ironman" mode....you log out, it saves there. You log in, you must resume that run or forfeit it. It works the same in multiplayer, and means that if you do suspend a run, you can't play single player without abandoning or completing the suspended multiplayer run.
