You get a recipe for a bee house later in game, so keep the queen bee until you get it.

If you level up foraging to level 10, you will get the recipe. And indeed, save the queen bee! You can place the queen bee on the ground by the way, so you don't have to keep her in your inventory. Then pick her up when you can build the hive.

How does this work with the queen bee? I found some Hives on the ground, smashed it an fetched 2 bees, but no queen.

I think beehive/beehouse is Farming skill 10, I have foraging 25+ and no recipe lol.

So funny that we don't know for sure what it unlocks. Really thought it was foraging. Farming 10 only unlocked copper tools and fertilizer for me as well. Maybe a higher level of foraging?

I have the recipe. I don't think it was a random reward.
I think i got it from lvling foraging (something above 10) or raising reationship with Fletcher (lvl4).
I have only 2 lvl in farming so it's not that.
I sold one hive and bust one for 2 bees (one in the museum the other sold) and one honey.

:/ I could have sworn it unlocked with those item's maybe its bug catching?

Partner unlocked the bee house at farming 5. Foraging was already well above 40. She also caught like 6 or 7 queen bees so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it either.
