Stability/Performance wise I've had few problems as a solo player. Can't speak for multiplayer. I'm playing on a gaming laptop and not seeing lags and stutters but full disclosure I have my graphics card set to 60 FPS so that could change with what you have set up and what choices you make in game settings. Speaking of, they are still minimum at best with not a lot there. Graphic settings are: Low, Med, High and you can set the chunk distance. I use KB/M so hopefully someone using a Controller weighs in, if that's a factor for you.
There is no story and what is there is completed very quickly. We have farming, animal husbandry, building, terraforming, an island you can visit when you get that NPC on your island, and some combat in the 2 mine levels. No combat is a new feature from a new item but I've yet to use it. Once you get all the current NPCs to move in, you'll either need to be a creative sort who likes to think and build out of the box to stay interested. If not, you'll be waiting for the next update from the solo dev.
TBH, best money I've personally spent in regards to time played and fun I had while playing it. Have no regrets and that's even if the dev released the game as finished today. I have EA games that have done far worse and with larger teams than this solo dev has done and that includes new content.
If you decide to take the plunge, 3 in-game settings I recommend before playing under game Options:
-Camera Settings; checkmark on "Invert Y" under "Invert Free Camera"
-Camera Settings; checkmark on "Mouse Always Move Camera", if you use KB/M.
-Gameplay; checkmark on "Mini-Map Always Faces North".
Lots more settings in those tabs you can change but IMO these 3 can really help with game play right off the airship. Good luck with your choice.
The name is like ac:nh, Minecraft and Stardew had a baby.
Definitely a fun game. But there's a high chance you're going to lose a lot of sleep playing this, not realizing how late in the night or early morning it has become.
I did play a lot of Minecraft and Stardew Valley before.
Still in beta, so expecting more updates in the future.
Had some fun building, hunting and fishing. Lots to do if you are into achievements or completing goals.
Have the option to play the game at a more peaceful / aggressive pace (wishing well) during game play - or just add Mod.
For me, good value for money and well spent.
The content is good for the state of the game, its not complete, it lacks stuff at the long end of the game, a looooooong end but at the end it does get to a point there is nothing left.
Is it worth the cash, hell yes... but you will get to an end and be like what now ?
I bet but i tihnk in my entie steam history i bought only 3 games at full price xD
I mostly just go now for sales.
I also try to buy on sale :) Just sayin' this is a good game :)
