The Diving Helmet

The Diving Helmet is a tough one to find. I know where to look and hunt (the Undergrove and the Island Reef). I have visited the Undergrove a few times and the Island Reef many times with no luck. Anyone have any tips or hints to find the elusive Diving Helmet? Thanks.

Pray to RNGesus. I'm having hard time finding one aswell and i could really use it for some terraforming projects i have in mind (I need to remove the pesky underwater rocks that can't be reached otherwise that are blocking me from digging/building there)

I have heard the 'Undergrove' has an easier chance of finding one that the 'Island Reef', that is where I'm going to focus on going. (you need 4 Ruby shards to ascess it, I'm also doing a 'Peaceful Wish' in the 'Wish Fountain' to avoid those nasty critters down below). What is RNGesus?

The island reef is a key inefficient way to get the helmet. You can only get it via a green chest and the reef gives you blue, regular, and green chests at 5 keys apiece per map. While you can get more maps in chests, it's always random as to which color chest you'll get. Most I've seen outside of the beta was 37 chests split among the three types.

The undergrove only has green chests and it's 2 keys per if you go the fast way. My personal record was 47 green chests. Select the peaceful wish from the wish fountain and head into the undergrove. If you head south, the 2 key path will always be facing you and when you head back up aka North, it will always be on the other side.

I just got back from the Undergrove and found my first Diving Helmet! Thanks guys...now the underwater is completely open for adventure and building and creating!

You need to slot 4 ruby shards in the mine elevator before you descend - interact with the 4 holes in the console when you have 4 shards on you. It will take you to Undergrove instead regular deep mines if you do so. You get ruby shards from smashing ruby rocks found in regular deep mines.
