What actually happens when you run out of time for Alma? Is there a friendlier restart option?
Hi, I'm curious as to what happens if you run out of time with the MC. If you use up all your meteor shards and run out of time with her, is it straight up game over or are there ways to continue that file? Do you have to start a new game and just play better the second time around, or does anything carry over?

If Alma's time runs out, your save becomes unplayable and marked as UNSIGHTED. If you wish to keep playing, you will need to start from a new save or from a previous copy of your save, if you ever made one. You have the option to turn off the timer on Explorer Mode right before that happens though.

So my answer is endgame content, just a warning
Throughout the game there are 4 hidden items plus a blueprint, that come together to make a clock, once you've made it, you take it to the Crypt, in the very back is an incomplete clock, The one you made is installed there, this then allows you to "reset the clock" so to speak for the NPC's

That just spoils some endgame item, it doesnt actually say if you can enter a fail state or not.

This doesn't answer his question at all... I also want to know what happens if the MC runs out of timer

It doesn't answer the questions at all, which were "What happens if you run out of time?" and "Is there a fail state?"

The question that was not asked but was answered is, "What can you do later in the game if you are almost out of time?"

so cause it doesnt answer all question u guys spread lies that its doesnt answer at all.

the tone people react kills the mood to answer the rest. specially if its also lies.

maybe dont put 20 questionmarks in your damn title plus post if you want only 2 answered

I think we are having some communication issues here. Your posts are really hard to understand and it's clear you didn't grasp what was being asked in the original post, or how the response was unrelated to the questions. Maybe you should leave this discussion up to someone else?

The answer the person gave is not an option for restarting the game, it's an option for recharging Alma's time meter at the expense of another in-game resource.

Is this really so hard to understand? Why are you having so much difficulty following the conversation?

is it so hard to understand that your question is flawed and your passive aggressive and dont deserve an answer? an answer you could find using the search function or search in a internetbrowser of your choice on one of the bigger searchsites.

the user answered that quoted part, u were passive aggressive
and i confirmed it as legit answer.
not sure which question we are allowed to answer without you being rude. so i dont risk any of them.

I'll attempt to clarify the apparent misunderstanding here : OP(Original Poster) wanted to know a few things, including whether a "friendlier restart option" existed.
The first answer was giving a option to recharge Alma's time, which didn't match what OP wanted to know, because the "friendlier restart" part wasn't included in that answer.
Said answer could be interpreted in a way that makes it look like what OP wanted to know, but that interpretation isn't the one OP needs.

OP wasn't being passive aggressive, rude or trying to "spread lies", just trying to get their answer. This specific sentence is the exception to OP not being rude, as it is a bit rude :

Nyu interpreted the first answer as described above, (first paragraph) and, not realizing their interpretation and OP's were different. Because of that, Nyu thought that OP was being passive aggressive and rude, and said things in that regard, while being quite rude to OP.
(By the way, internet browsers can't help in this case, as there is very little easy-to-find information on this game documented online, apart from within the steam forums(here))

It also probably didn't help that Nyu either doesn't seem to be as comfortable with english as the rest of us or that they don't take as much time/care as the rest of us to write their posts.

yes sea men

Also, OP, while i do not know the answer to your questions, i thought you might like to know that there is an option to switch to explorer mode and be able to disable the timer at any point. (i don't know if that option still exists in the hardest difficulty(unlocked after beating the game), because i never checked.)
