Is it really possible to softlock yourself by using a key on the wrong door?
Asking cause a review said that happened to him. I'd simply ask the guy, but of course, Steam defaults reviews to comments disabled now.

It's very hard to find yourself in a situation that you feel like you locked yourself out, but even if you do, there's always other ways around.

I can't say what happened to the user there, but usually there are very easy workarounds to situations like this. (a lot of the key doors are optional, even if they don't look like so) And even if you somehow fail those too, there are some extreme measures (certain NPCs can drop keys when becoming UNSIGHTED, if you pay attention to the map's layout and game mechanics you'll realize you can skip a lot of portions, etc)

Actually, without using any glitches you only need ~2 keys to finish the game. And there's a ton more available for you. You'll be surprised with how many secret moves and paths you can find in the game if you look into it.

The game is designed around having multiple (and secret) paths on every area, and sometimes you might have to think out of the box, which can be kind of an unusual experience when compared to more linear metroid/zelda-like games. So it's understandable that this caught some players off guard.

If you ever find yourself in trouble, you can always ask here too!
I wish this user would've asked here before restarting the game, but I'm glad they liked the game anyway :)

Huh, that's very neat. I appreciate the prompt straight-from-the-dev feedback.
