Just build more beds to cure injured beavers, 100 pop needs around 10 beds, without enough bed injured beaver will just wait until cured and the number will snowball over time. With medicine you need much less beds but I found the consumption is very high (looks like you need a lot to cure one beaver fast) and so the demand of Dandelion, you will need a really big field to harvest enough just to make the medicine... no need to say, also lots of medicine making buildings

So in a game where it is very easy to fail if you don't know a strat for your map beforehand as all your beavers die and you have to reload an earlier save or start again. They made your beavers weaker and constantly get injured and need more green space for things not involved in preventing their constant death. Greenhouses when?

Easier difficulties should default have this option turned off, or the game will be too hard for a lot of people. And for the ones who know how to handle it, they were not dying anyway and this could end up barely a problem for them besides making end game take longer to reach.

Fact is if you follow the tutorial all your beavers will die. I've never seen this game as an easy game, and this makes it harder.

Is it just me or is broken teeth almost 100% up on lumberjacks? Seems a bit annoying because it looks like I cannot get rid of it actively by placing medical beds. At least with broken teeth they do not go to the medical beds. Seems like a really strange idea to have a beaver break its teeth all the time by doing what a beaver does ... like you know ... gnaw on trees?

You remove the broken teeth by placing a grindstone, not a medical bed.

Go to game properties -> Betas, and set it to experimental build

Nice! More survival features!
I love strategy and managing the population, so I'm glad to see that there are better challenges coming than simply large quantities of population. Still, poor beavs.

I think grindstones are how beavers fix broken teeth.

I read it in the changelog posted here, at the end of the news post. Because yes, I am that person that reads the changelog. :P So if you want more info on what beds or showers can fix, that's where you can find out everything I know.

So I've tried this update extensively now and I really don't like what it's trying to do. it hasn't improved gameplay or colony related issues. It hasn't added interesting new features that over all improve how things work. What is has done is force me to have to rebuild massive colonies again from scratch for the 4th time to deal with <features> that are unnecessary.

What I want is diversified development, research and passive improvements to my colonies as they age and get more established to keep them running smoothly based on the time and effort I've put into the colony.

What I don't want is: here are 3 new REQUIRED awkwardly shaped buildings to jenga into the already cluttered building field and "you'll just have to rebuild and change it all next patch lol".

Difficulty scaling is fine, completely changing how you have to assign jobs, losing whole sections of your workforce over a week and again, having to micro manage <huge> populations to render the changes irrelevant to maintain the gameplay loop is not fun.

I have been saying this since they introduced them. It's a sloppy way to try and manage issues with scaling colony size and doesn't do what it says on the tin.

I wrote a nearly 4000 word essay but I'm just going to say I agree with you to save us all time. I wrote about it on the feedback site and never got a response.

I think they should do another experimental branch update or add an option to turn it off and see what people will do with this.. lack of content at the start pushed them to do this so people would think there is more complexity etc. to the game but in reality it is just a glorified road block that is unnececery.
