How do power wheels work? -Solved with help.
I put some next to building but I cant figure out how to get beavers to be able to use them... Always says not connected.

Edit- Really starting to hate them. Nothing I do seems to work with them :-/

Edit - Since cant link 2 posts as answer...

One will give power to a building. You don't need to fulfill the entire power rating of a building - that just what they need to work at 100% efficiency. If they have less power than that, they just work slower. The wheels are more for emergency or backup power. They aren't intended to be your only source of power. That is what water wheels, windmills, and engines are for.

as long as they are not accidentally water wheels, there are two sides to the power wheel, one is for the "entrance" of the building, for workers. while the other is the power output, it should have a gear symbol whenever lined up with a power-compatible building (including, but not limited to all of the power transfer structures), power wheels are beaver powered and will not function if attempted to be used as a water wheel

It only does 50HP and first building requires 60. I think I get what mean by entry on side. I thought was where linked to another power wheel. And yes its POWER wheel not WATER. Its on land and its a hamster wheel. So if one side connects to building and other side is for entry. Whats the point of them? In this case seem useless as need 2 for any building at min.

EDIT -Wait if put in parallel can link them. Ok I get it now but seems hard way to use them. Should have entry on end. Like a open'able door to get in then close to use it.

Ok I get it now. I thought needed full power. Like other factory games when dont have 100% power they shut down. I expected same here. Ok thanks for thew info.

Build your factories (sawmill, paper mill, gear workshop, etc.) in groups touching each other and your power sources connecting. Power balances across the industrial park. Click on one of the connector gear blocks and it will give you the power demand for the network and the power supply for the network. Add factories to use surplus power; power sources to speed up factories. I have some fairly extensive factories in Engibeaverton. One has 17 water wheels, 27 beaver wheels, 9 windmills, and 18 factories of various types, all connected as one big network. One of my favorite tricks is to put a power source on one side of a factory and another one across the end. You can use those power shafts and gear boxes to extend the network vast distances and even connect two industrial parks from different districts.
