Will there be any Steam achievements for this game in the future?

Almost certainly. But they will hopefully only be added once the game is feature-complete, because until that happens, anything that is currently in the game (and thus potentially included in the logic of an achievement) can be changed/removed, theoretically making the achievement no longer attainable.
