Timberborn

Tunnels / Underground
While playing i often thought it would be cool if i could build solid ground ontop of artificial structures

Or having roads underground, like tunnels...

Or even having underground Watering-Systems

of course it would be necessary to somehow be able to look underground as well;
and i understand that would probably be alot of work...
so just an idea

not hard at all to do. You just need the dirt collector to mine dirt. dig the trench you want for your mine. put platforms in the hole you made. place dirt blocks on top of it. you have your mine.

We're testing exactly that on the Experimental branch, where Update 7 is being tested. Yes, tunnels and putting soil on top of buildings is now possible (in Exp. Update 7).

Oh boy - You're in for a treat :)
I hope if u7 gets live its possible in huge dimensions, so i can build a forest for wood over my huge waterreservior, I have no other space left which i can access without beeing unpractible. So my waterdepots gets a cave...

LITERALLY what they're doing in experimental. You can add dirt back on top of flat-topped stuctures. AND the Ironteeth are getting beaver pneumatic tubes/subways, so tunnel networks are 100% going to end up existing.

The pictures I shared show the layers of my city and the farms I built on top of it. I thought it was a good example of the things that are being worked on and are in the experimental build.
But i would like it we could build tunnels like the cubes in the ground instead of open the ground, build a street in it and a plattform and than dry on it.

I would also like to see that we can improve our buildings. For example replace the wood with wood and bricks to build a half-timbered house and the Ironteeth replace with steel. Improved buildings are prodicing faster or can employ more beavers. Bricks are made by dry, water and charcoal. Coal is made buring wood. Steel is made of metal, dry and charcoal.

Centrivuges now have extract and waste. With the waste we can build better streets which improve the speed of the beavers.

And as suggestion: geothermal power
