Do bots and beavers share a work shift?

No... bots work 24 hours until they run out of a energy. After that they'll go to a recharge station (Iron Teeth) or go collect fuel (Folk Tails) and head back to work.

yes. when your beavers are working, your bots are also working, so the 'workday' time is overlapped. What they don't do is mix: a building either has bot workers or live workers, and you don't get bot fill-ins when the beavers go to sleep. That is both good and bad, I guess... as it stands, you can have bots on critical jobs and beavers where you don't need 24/7 operation. Eventually bots will be doing most everything. As an example, coffee for IT tends to massively overproduce, so a bot running that is redundant.
