Beavers not drinking water

Water storage are all full but all beavers are dying of dehydration no clue why

Seen the same many times and have never figured out why. Maybe dehydrated beavs cannot pump water fast enough?

But I have water barrels that are completely full and they are not grabbing water from it

It would be helpful if you could post a pic of your settlement. That way people could see your pathways and rule out if it's a bug or an oversight on the layout.

its a small settlement literally just started the world.. straight line from water to houses everything is connected.

I would dump the save file since you just started. See if it happens again. Not much else you can do. If the issue keeps reoccurring then I would post pics.

To be slightly helpful this could be related to work hours.

It is only a small collection of beavers, right? Work and sleep take precedence over eating and drinking. Probably too much work to fit in a lunch break. Lower the work hours by a couple and see how that goes.

What would you recommend for a small district around 30-50 beavers for work hours? I hadn't even thought about work hours tbh.
