The thing I want most in this game: Performance improvements
I like building large settlements. That's why I play games like Timberborn. But here, once you get a certain number of beavers and bots, the lag becomes so terrible. It makes me misclick buildables, place buildings in wrong places, and in general remove some of the fun of the game.

I can play huge megabases in Factorio or Satisfactory without issue. Why can't I go past 300 beavers in TB without lag? My CPU and GPU are not even 50% used.

This game could really use some optimizations. Devs, please read some of the FFF posts from the Factorio Team, they made optimization their second language.

I prefer optimizations for large settlements to be added before features now...

While your cpu sais 50% used, one or 2 of your cores are pegged/ maxed out. So you are CPU limited. Second, have one super district will also slow things down vs using multiple districts. Third you did not list your specs.

Specs:

Intel Core i9-11900F
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
32GB RAM

Should be more than enough to run Timberborn if you ask me.. It's an 8 core CPU so also enough cores to handle single threaded gameplay.

3080 undervolted
64GB Gear 1

400+ no problem in one mega district - except for the wonder
It lags when i move it around with the coverage visible
