Keyboard shortcuts not working

Just fired up the game after not playing for a few months. It started normally as far as I could tell, but I quickly realized that most of the keyboard shortcut keys weren't working. Couldn't move or rotate the camera. I could select a building with my mouse from the menu, but couldn't rotate it (R).

I know my keyboard is working. When I created the game, I had to type in the name of my settlement. A few keys work. I can pause (space) and bring up the menu (esc). The function keys will bring up the various status screens. But nothing else works. I've tried exiting and restarting the game a couple times.

Hi, if some of the interactions work, could you check your Keybindings settings and try to rebind the interactions to another key and see if they work then?

Yeah, I tried that and nothing happens. I bring up the key bindings and (for example) I see that rotate object is set to 'R'. I click on that 'R' button and I get a popup box asking me to click a key for the reassignment. Almost all of the regular keys give me no response (a-z,1-9). But a few do work. e.g. I can reassign the rotate function to "=" or F10 and when I return to the game, those keys DO rotate buildings for me.

Do you have any other devices connected to your pc that could be interfering with the controls? (gamepads etc.) If so, does disconnecting them help?

Nothing like that, BUT I did a complete system reboot and started Timberborn as the first application and the keys are working ok now. If this happens again, I'll try starting various programs and see if any of them are conflicting.

Yes, I had something like his happen to me when I hit the window key. I can no longer zoom in until I restart the game. Instead all my commands are locked to the building bar at the bottom instead of to the playable areas. Are you playing in windows mode? have you exited the game? did you click on some play outside of the, like a message? are you playing in big picture mode? These things do seem to have an effect on the game.

I know not a ton of help. Its just a bug I have been having and the only work around I know of is full screen and do not go into big picture mode or hit the window key. I just restart the game when it happens and everyone work ok again.
