the base of this game is good but it lacks content
But indeed I find that only water management is not enough.
The game is too simple.
It's their first release - and it's on early access. What were you expecting?
I'm impressed by how polished it is etc... but would love to know what's in planning for the next updates
Not to mention, it gives very little leeway, if somethings takes longer then planned.
Not to mention all the "when is this coming?" or "why play X amount for this game, when road map says most of it is still missing"... And so on, goes the forum.
At least it's not as bad as the folks who whine on the forums about bugs from day 1, but never report them direct to the developer.
I find it incredibly odd to not have a public version of what the developer is working on available to those who have effectively invested into the game. Investors in the classic sense expect progress reports. Are the progress reports EVERYTHING that is happening in the day to day of a company for those investors? Never. So should the public roadmap be.
Not everything, just where they think they are headed at the moment, and it constantly changes.
