any tip for time management?
just got my beavers starved to death, i had plenty of potatos though
default labor time is set for 16 hours, i guess they don't have time to eat?? idk
as far as i know, this kind of game (oxygen not included, rimworld etc...) requires player to set suitable time management.
anyway... any tips for not beavers starve to death?

Hi! The beavers cannot eat raw potatoes. Did you cook them?

lol ty ty... but yeah jokes aside time management doesn't seem to really be a big aspect of this game from what I can tell. Um raw potatos or cooked potatos? carrots can be eaten raw but potatos need a grill.

At lower well being and a smaller district I have no trouble setting work hours to 18 and even 20. At around 20+ they seem to start sometimes having difficulty fulfilling needs for some of the things that require specialty buildings but they will still eat, drink, and walk past decor. For really high well being you probably have to stick with the 16hr default. Especially if they work far away from such buildings and food/water storage.

So work hours are not your problem and not really all that important until they have more recreation type stuff to do or longer travel times across a filled district. Have you fulfilled nutrition 1 with carrots and are you cooking your potatos? I'm not sure how important satisfying lower tiers are before higher tiers but you are skipping progression if you make potatos without carrots. It's possible not also keeping enough berries and carrots on hand might have some negative impact on keeping themselves fed or well being rating. Plus those foods don't need cooked so if your grill has wood or delivery issues they don't starve. They just drop a well being level from not having nutrition 2 provided by grilled potatos.

16 hours a day is perfectly fine. They only seem to sleep about 4 hours each day, so the other 4 hours they have off they spend doing things like satisfying their needs, always starting with eating and drinking.

They will never starve or die of thirst from working too much at 16 hours a day.

Working 16 hours a day, they have more than enough time to satisfy all their needs for the most part. My 100 beaver colony had about 90% of all 15 needs fulfilled with 16 hour shifts, I eventually reduced it to 12 just because I was "finished" with the colony and wanted to make all of them hit 15 wellness at once, and that was plenty.
