guides for stacking buildings?
like... how to tower?
what are some patterns, full or partial, to use? simple or complex and inbetween.
how to include the weirder recreation needs?
how high is too high?
chokepoints to ensure shrub and roof needs? (not related but a thing to keep in mind during construction still i guess.)

You need a 2x3 footprint for a staircase that will take you two times 1 floor up in a single 'round'.

__ // ^^ <-- this is what it would look like from a side: "__" is the floor, "//" is a single stairs segment, "^^" is the next floor.
The second 'row' then looks like this:
^^\\__ <-- the "--" is at the same height as the "^^" in the above 'picture'.

You then attach two-floor-tall housing at the flat ends.

forgot to mention need double tall platforms in order to build on top of stairs.
but i guess this answers the simplest stack/tower

Here's a popular video example of base stacking. He's also have other recommended stacking builds on his channel; this is only episode 1.

2x3 stair have a problem, half of the platforms in each floor are inaccessible, blocked by the stair.
I prefer 3x3 which you can have access from each side.
